According to a recent story in the New York Times, as home foreclosures increase so do skate spots.  You won’t find many vacant backyard pools in NYC, but if you live in Fresno, CA, apparently they’re everywhere. Get the full scoop on NYTimes.com.

For the first time ever, this past April the Zoo Crew embarked on a week-long skate safari to South Africa. Making the lengthy transatlantic flight were ZY Officials Zered Bassett, Forrest Kirby, and Brandon Westgate, as well as team manager Seamus Deegan, photographer Sean Cronan, and videographer RB Umali who was filming for our upcoming full-length video, “State of Mind.” Check the video above and for a higher quality version hit up the Zoo York Video Report Channel at the iTunes Store.

Our bros from Chicago - Arthur Swidzinski, Mike Kosciesza, Tony Michal, and James Lagen - are proud to release the trailer for their upcoming documentary “Shred America.” Over a 35-day stretch this past summer, they skated approximately 1,000 miles from the Windy City to NYC and documented all the action along the way. Skating halfway across the country is a serious mission, and we’re stoked they survived after hearing some of the craziness they experienced during their trip. When the full-length movie ultimately drops, they plan to donate a portion of all proceeds to a non-profit called the Neediest Kids Fund. So peep the trailer right here, and hit up their site to stay in the know on all “Shred America” happenings - shredamericafilm.com.
