King of New York at Mullaly Park on September 1st and 2nd
The King of New York is back! Founded in 1995, KoNY is one of the longest running bicycle stunt competitions in the world and the only one of its kind in NYC. For 2007, the King of New York will return to its home turf at Mullaly Park in the Bronx on September 1st and 2nd. Located at 164th Street between Jerome and River Avenues, Mullaly is just three blocks from Yankee Stadium.
Last year’s event was full of insane riding and this year will prove no different. Beginner and Expert class winners will claim Woodward Camp certificates plus loads of gear from KoNY’s generous sponsors. Amateur class entry is free, but limited spots are available, so don’t sleep on signing up. The Pro class entry fee is still only $50 - there will be a $3,000 pro purse paying out to 10th place. The King of New York Pro Champion will also get outfitted in stylish threads courtesy of Zoo York.

Last night our level of stokedness was
through the roof to start
attacking our King of the Road challenges.
I think we have to turn our stoke level down a
couple notches and reserve some for tomorrow nite.
We are a little too stoked to have
Diggy Dawes on our team.

The day before I left for KOTR I was invited to
film some of my favorite all time skaters with
an HD camera set up that belonged to
a couple of my favorite filmers..
Thanks Ty and Meza! I had a blast playing
with your fancy set up in the rain.
This fisheye costs more than my entire setup!
I couldn’t wipe the drizzle off with my lens cloth.
You need a windshield wiper for this crazy kit.
Yo Nardelli I’m gonna need about 10k from the
video budget to buy this setup for the Zoo crew!
