We were somewhere between Sydney & Melbourne

Quick stop at Jimmy G’s Skateshop.

Matt Miller was face to face with
a wild kangaroo the night before…
he could’ve took it out with his cast
but he got shook and ran away.

The sun is strong in Australia

The Doc, iPod, Coke and some lotion.
We held down the executive whip
on the way down to Canberra.

Our vans were begging to get rear ended.
“Unbreakable” huh? Lets see about that.

Shetler and Shane found a big wild lizard
and tried to make it skate.

After our team dinner at Chili’s..

Back at the PJ’s in Canberra..
a serious game of tech-deck S.K.A.T.E. was
in full effect.

The next morning we went to the airport.

And picked up Nardelli aka “The new old guy”
Nards took a much needed break from
brand managing Zoo to have some fun
in the sun with us.

Our spot guide in Canberra was a cool
kid named Jack Fardell.
We quickly nicknamed him “Jack the Ripper”
and recruited him to our Aussie Am Squad.
Watch out for this guy. Warm up ollies over
the channel in the deep end.

The park had a snake run with sweet berms.

Nick from Lush was another one of our
tour guides, and he rips too.
Full 90 degree shifty off the launch ramp.
And yeah he landed that shit in slip ons.

We rolled deep to a bangin’ Thai restaurant
in Newtown.
Three grown ass men in the trunk.

The food was so good.. Milleritis.

Checkin out the opera house.

That’s the Sydney Opera House
in the background.

Our first instore appearance
was at SDS on Pitt Street.

Sharpie ZY crackerjack tats were
in effect on the little dunnys.

Then we did a demo at Fernside skatepark.
Where Seamus got the biggest crowd
reaction of the day.

Dr. Z holds it down.

After the demo, we all jumped into
a “Maxi Taxi” and headed to the
Zoo York party.

They had all the super limited edition
artist collaboration Zoo boards on the wall.

“One day me and you are gonna have
our names on boards like that yo..”

My man John Bush from NY was in the hizzouse.

We had a screening of “Legends Never Die”.

It was a hot day of skating in Sydney

We went to a bangin spot with a
wavy hubba and a gap to rail
that Suski and Miller handled.

It was cold and grey in NY when
we left. Psyched to get some
of that warm Aussie sunshine.

Met Dr. Z, Seamus and Cronan
at JFK and we were on our way.

The first random Zoo York sighting
was on our flight out.. it wouldn’t be the last.

We had a layover in LA where
Miller and Suski met up with us to
try and get on our overbooked flight.
Mrs. Umali also came along for the ride.

Suski didn’t make it on to our flight
but the Umali’s got bumped up
to Business class for the 18 hour flight.

I felt a little bad for the lack of legroom
for Matt Miller so I gave him my
Filet Mignon. The girl next to him
is a vegetarian and she is not psyched.

It was a grey and cloudy morning
in Sydney when we flew in..

United messed up again by
losing Matt Miller’s luggage.
Here he is drowning his sorrows
with some cold VB’s for brekkie.

We took a connecting flight to Brisbane
where Shetler met us from a previous
trip to Hong Kong where he got
a ton of sick footy..

Off to the van.

Dr. Z has been killing it out here
filming new random tricks on the daily.

Matt Miller expresses his anger

faulty baggage service.

All of Matt’s belongings for the next
three days are in his little backpack.

Our hotel in Brisbane had a sweet view
from the balcony.. I nice change
from the harsh winter back home.

They were racing cockroaches
across the street from our hotel
for Australia day.

Zered is so psyched to be skating out here.

Z climbed up into this spider infested tree
to get a 2nd angle of Shetler’s trick..

We went to a sweet handrail in Brisbane
and the cops showed up.
But instead of kicking us out,
they asked for autographs
and watched us from across the
street.

Back to the hotel for a VB footage party

We went to our first instore the next day.

Westgate got in this morning and
United also lost his bag.

Suski also finally made it onto a later flight
and weird.. United lost his bag too!

Our first stop was a big shop
called City Beach in Brisbane.

The shop was 3 floors high
with a little mini ramp on the top!

There were tons of kids there at our
first stop.. which was a great
way to set things off.
